Benefits of Infrared Saunas...

Infrared Sauna

An infrared sauna uses infrared heaters to emit infrared radiant heat which is absorbed directly into the human body, unlike traditional saunas which heat the body indirectly via air or steam.
The Journal of the American Medical Association states: "A moderately conditioned person can easily sweat off 500 grams in a sauna, consuming nearly 300 kcal, which is equivalent to running 2–3 miles. A heat-conditioned person can easily sweat off 600–800 kcal with no adverse effects. While the weight of the water loss can be regained by drinking water, the calories consumed will not be."
Liana uses the infrared sauna at the Balance Health and Wellness center in Lindenhurst which is on Long Island, New York. It is generated using solar power energy. Director Joe says the benefits include:
  • Deep Penetrating Radiant Heat
  • Aids in Weight Control
  • Improves Immune System
  • Removes Toxins
  • Relieves Pain
  • Eases Joint Pain and Stiffness
  • Reduces Stress & Fatigue
  • Removes Dead Cells
  • Improves Skin Tone and Texture
At The Balance Health and Wellness Center their Far Infrared Sauna generates the same far infrared heat produced by the sun (without the UV rays) in wavelengths similar to those emitted by the human body. The Sauna replenishes the body with far infrared light – a form of light fundamental to all living things. The penetrating, radiant heat warms deeply into joints, muscles, and tissues speeding oxygen flow, increasing circulation and revitalizing metabolism..
