Or, at least, this one.
To get you all extra-excited for heading back to school and for my back-to-school Healthy Lunchbox Series - a week of (my) mom approved, (my) kid (sister) tested/approved lunchbox posts starting next Monday! - I'm hosting a back-to-school giveaway!
For those of you who read LLE regularly, you saw the giveaway when it went up yesterday. But if you don't, here's some quick info about the prize and how to win!
Nana's Cookie Company, the geniuses behind a line of Curious George- and kid(and me)-approved whole grain cookies sweetened with just fruit juice, have been generous enough to giveaway some of their treats to one lucky reader! They're perfect for any lunch box, whether it's a kid's lunchbox or an adult's lunchbox.
It's okay, I won't tell.
Don't forget to enter through Rafflecopter and check back on September 1, at the conclusion of the Healthy Lunchbox Series, to see if you won!
Okay, now it's WIAW time!
First, it's chocolate bar time!
This was a Mexican chocolate bar, I can't remember the name, that had peanuts, caramel, and some creamy filling wrapped in milk chocolate. It's a leftover pic from last week in NYC; my neighborhood in Harlem had a huge Hispanic population.
Next, some tasty snack plates featuring pancakes, fresh fruits, and homemade sauces!

I made the pancake with rice flour and cocoa powder as my unusual subs/additions. And yes that's my first peach of the season! It tasted soooooo good, too :)
Granny Smith apples are usually not one of my favorites, but sometimes I do crave them. :)
Cereal messes are awesome and happen all the time! But they're even better with beans and dried fruits and frozen fruits and peanut sauce added to the mix :)

And I can't forget my lovely veggies! I still haven't gotten over how delicious sundried tomatoes are, a full year after the obsession started.
And I'm pretty sure it's impossible to ever get sick of Whole Foods - just Whole Foods prices. Sheesh, if only they weren't so expensive! They're definitely my favorite grocery store as far as what they offer (and their delightful bakery section, prepared foods section, and salad bar) but their prices are just not okay for a poor college kid like me!
Ice cream, on the other hand, is so necessary that it must always fit into the budget ;)
Oh, and random note - Living, Learning, Eating has a facebook page now. I'd love it if you'd like the page!
