There are a lot of fabulous, elaborate breakfasts out there - french toast, pancakes, waffles, breakfast cakes, etc. And I love them all!
I'm a breakfast girl :)
But cereal and granola remain some of my favorite staples to go back to, time after time. I don't need colorful fairy tale characters or games on the back of the box - just give me a yummy granola or muesli chock full of nuts, seeds, whole grains, and dried fruits and I'm happy!
Ambrosial Granola passes the LLE test for a good breakfast.
Their granolas (two varieties) and muesli (one variety) are absolutely delicious and they have all the good stuff a healthy breakfast needs (hearty whole grains, healthy fats, fiber-full dried fruits) and none of the stuff it doesn't (like artificial colorings/flavorings/sweeteners, additives, preservatives, HFCS, or trans fats).
I also like how they don't pretend that a measly 1/4 cup is a serving. Okay, so 1/2 a cup isn't quite a LLE serving either (I love breakfast and I'm a busy girl!) but it's headed in the right direction.
I love both muesli and granola, but I love granola a little more than I love muesli. So I decided to have the muesli first and save the best for last!
The Athenian Harvest is a muesli with goji berries, hazelnut, and apricot - and a lot of other good stuff, like bit shreds of coconut and plenty of tasty raisin!
I really liked how they included some of their granola alongside the regular oats in their muesli. That's pretty rare, muesli doesn't usually have granola in it! But it added a delightful crunch :)
Next up, the Grecian Grove granola!
This granola spotlights orange, apricot, and cranberry, but the most prominent flavors (for me) werer the cranberries and sunflower seeds. It's delicious and nice and crunchy! Neither of these granolas are clumpy granolas, but they're both nice and crunchy :)
The Grecian Grove makes an amazing ice cream topping if it's later in the day.
Or, heck, if it's breakfast on a Saturday. Shh, I won't tell if you don't ;)
The Venetian Vineyard granola is my favorite, however! Walnuts, dates and cashews - YUM! All three of those are definitely very tastable in this yummy, yummy, yummy granola.
Anyway, because you just really HAVE to try this granola, I'm giving a pack away! And, to sweeten an already super-sweet deal, you'll get a pack of the Grecian Grove granola and a pack of the Athenian Harvest muesli, as well!
This giveaway is open to US readers only and ends January 20, 2012.

Crispy, crunchy, sweet, and amazing, you just have to try at least the Venetian Vineyard granola!
Also, random fact, it won Prevention Magazine's award for Healthiest Cereal in 2011. When good stuff goes in and it's this yummy (and one serving has 28g whole grains, 20% DV Fiber, and 807mg Omega-3s), it's just a winner all around!
