Fashion Inspiration: Pocahontas

Before I get to my fashion inspiration, I'll get to my fashionable fuel - a tasty new late-night study snack that's a super cute color and very photogenic.

Wallaby's Organic Low-Fat Raspberry yogurt! It's super fruity, creamy, and delicious - plus it packs a great protein punch to keep the nighttime munchies at bay!

Nighttime photography isn't great, since there's not really much natural light at 10:30pm, but it's a really pretty pink. Without food coloring. As for how pretty the pink is? You'll either have to take my word for it or try it yourself. :P

Okay, fashion time!
I love Disney and I love putting together outfits. Don't worry - I don't dress myself as a Disney princess every day!

Though that would be pretty fun...

Anyway, some of you were interested in seeing a Pocahontas inspired look and I'd been meaning to try out Polyvore's fashion collage app for a while.

The app is really easy and I was able to pull together the look, below, in under ten minutes. It has some downsides, though - you can't shop by what's on sale (you can put limits on the price, but the lowest price cutoff is $50) so the outfit ends up being a bit more expensive than what I can normally pull off shopping around the internet. You also can only pull pieces from their database (which is, admittedly, pretty extensive).

Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Pocahontas Inspired

Chiffon top
$15 - vj-style.com

Jane Norman neon skirt
$16 - janenorman.co.uk

Minnetonka shoes
$50 - alloy.com

Leather handbag
$94 - topman.com

The look comes to a total price of $175, though the bulk of that is the cute (but pricey)  handbag. Oh, and a note about how to wear it - you have to have the shirt partially tucked!

It's the law.

Okay, maybe not really. But it should be. :P

A pair of earrings might actually look really cute with this, like maybe the dangling feather earrings from this Dangling Feather Earrings Trio for $6.00 from Charlotte Russe.

What's your favorite yogurt flavor?

Do you make an effort to shop sales?

What's your favorite color to wear this fall? To eat?
