Breathe, Relax, Enjoy...

Ugh, I have a final paper due tomorrow. GAAAAAAAAH!

I've officially entered pull-my-hair-out crazy mode, guys. But it's okay. Because there's always a way to step to back from the craziness and take a breather, whether it's for a few hours or even just a few minutes.

If I have a few hours, a cute Christmas movie and some cookies do the trick. But if I just have a few minutes, I like to relax with a cup of tea and some relaxing music (for me, that's Christmas music! Yes, I'm obsessed).

I got to try a Two Leaves Tea Co. organic tea sampler (and one if you lucky readers will, too!) and their delicious teas are just the thing to take me to a calmer place in the craziness of final exams period at Harvard.

Two Leaves Tea Co. has a huge variety of organic fair-trade teas. You can choose teas by packaging (loose vs. in satchets), by caffeine content, by type (ie: green, black, white, herbal, oolong, etc.), and they even sell iced tea and have some tea varieties on sale for those of us on a budget. And they have tea accessories!

Especially if you're really into tea (ahem, me) their huge assortment of teas is awesome. They have a ton that I'd never even heard of before, like Organic Tamayokucha tea (a type of green tea) and Organic Bai Mu Dan tea (a type of white tea).

They also make some wellness teas, like the better rest blend and the better belly blend, that are great for helping out with mild digestive issues or getting you calm enough to sleep during finals (and it's way more natural than sleep meds, if it works for you).

When you go to their site and click on a tea, they give you a little info about that tea - like its top note, middle note, and finish - so that you can pick out teas that you'll probably like! Frankly, the teas are all so yummy (very flavorful and robust) that you'll probably like them all. I did!

It's too hard to pick a favorite, but I'd definitely say that the Organic African Sunset, the Organic Mountain High Chai, and the Organic Gen Mai Cha are pretty up there in the best teas I've ever had.

I also really think that the little satchets the teas come in are adorable and, at least for me, they're so much a part of the experience. It just automatically makes the tea feel so luxurious, so much like something that deserves peace and slow sipping. Mmmm...

To bring a little peace to your holiday season, Two Leaves Tea Co. is giving away an organic tea sampler to one lucky LLE reader!

The giveaway is open to everyone (yay!) and you have until December 23 to enter. Good luck!

And while we're at the whole staying-sane-for-finals thing, I have a word of advice - of course it's entirely okay to look like a hobo now and then during dead week/finals, but I caution against letting it be a daily thing for the whole 2+ weeks of insanity. Wearing something cute can improve your mood, so remember: be comfy, not frumpy!

Here's an example of how you can make that work:

Comfy not Frumpy

Fat Face oversized top
$68 - fatface.com

Valentino ruffle skirt
$1,280 - theoutnet.com

Hane
kohls.com

Bibi Bijoux brown jewelry
$300 - vanmildert.com

Ceramic jewelry
overstock.com

By Terry terry
barneys.com

I know my mood would be a lot better wearing that than in baggy sweats :)
