WIAW #67 and Doctor-Designed Bar Time!

So before we get to the WIAW portion of this past, let's do our holiday thing!
Have you been keeping up with the 25 Days of Giveaways? If not, make sure you head over to my giveaways page and enter all of my current giveaways - the more you enter, the more likely you are to win something great this holiday season!

Today's giveaway is a really special one with a really awesome prize.

Why is it so awesome? Because it's of Joulebars, the result when two twenty-something doctors come together to create a delicious snack that's every bit as healthy for their patients (and everyone else!) as it is delicious.

Welcome to Wholly Healthy's Joulebars!

There are twelve flavors, eight of which I tried, and they're all made entirely from whole fruits, nuts, seeds, and spices with no added sugars, preservatives, or other additives! They're soy-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, grain-free and vegan! Yup, that means they fit into practically any healthy diet.

And their flavors are absolutely delicious. Plus, the way the bars are wrapped in the paper is so cute!

Even the packaging is more natural than the usual :)

PB Chocolate? Blueberry Pie? Cranberry Walnut? Yes, please!

These energy bars taste a lot like the (ever-shrinking) Lara bars, but they're considerably larger and more filling. Some of them, like the Peanut Butter Chocolate and Sweet Sesame are also pleasantly heartier than Lara Bars, since they have nuts/seeds as the first ingredient instead of dates.

Some of their bars are also primarily dates, but I liked the ones that were not just a bit better - they're all plenty sweet enough!

The flavors are all pretty spot on - sure, texturally you'll know you're not actually eating almond biscotti or banana bread or whatever, but the flavor is strong enough there (and absolutely delicious!) that you know what it's modeled after without looking at the wrapper!

Like the banana bread?

Pretty awesome.

These bars are super moist, super natural, nice and big, and super satisfying. They're really rich, so they definitely fill you up!

It's a great snack for your holiday shopping, holiday decorating, final exam studying (or taking!), and just life in general!

YUM!

And they're delicious frozen, too:

Frozen Lemon Ginger Joulebar
So that you can see how delicious these are yourself, you have until December 19 to enter my giveaway to win your own variety box of super healthy Joulebars!

And, because they're super-awesome, they're giving away boxes to TWO winners! Anyone and everyone can participate in the giveaway, so be sure to enter for your chance to win!

Wholly Healthy also runs a ton of promotions, so that it's affordable to eat healthy. Every eleventh box of Joulebars you order is always free, there's always free shipping on orders of over $100 (so get your friends and stock up together!), and there are also often a variety of temporary promotions. Yay!

Okay, it's WIAW time!

What I Ate Wednesday Healthy Holiday Recipes

I just love kabocha with chocolate, protein bars, etc.  and some nut butter or nuts. It's just such a winning combination!

Any granola, yogurt, fruit, dried fruit, nut butter combo is a winner!

I love VitaTop sundaes!!!

Oh I loooooooooooooooooooooove granola at all times of the day and night!!!

I love VitaTops with ice cream and nut butter. Love, love, LOOOOOVE!

And another winning combo - granola, craisins, greek yogurt, and almond butter in the almost-empty coffee ice cream pint. This is why I love getting down to the last part of the pint of ice cream!

Now that has been happening often - it's so delicious!

Just like sweet beans with almond milk, frozen blueberries, cacao nibs, cinnamon, and the last bit of the Cafe Java Joulebar.

Pairing the Cafe Java Joulebar with something chocolatey is a real winner! YUM :)

Have you tried Joulebars?

Which flavor sounds yummiest to you?
